Hi, I’m Michael!
Currently, I'm working as a designer and researcher at New York State, working to improve New York State websites and services and build care into the process. I used to work as a U.S. Digital Corps Fellow at the Department of Homeland Security's Customer Experience Directorate, where I worked on a bunch of different projects, from writing a plain language report on facial recognition technology to using service design to improve the noncitizen experience. I've also worked at Adobe as a UX Content Design Intern to empower designers and engineers in their content design process.
My design practice is grounded in participatory design and trauma-informed care.
